Trying to ease back into a proper routine post-pandemic…
Well, scratch that - I threw myself back in. Because that's how I roll.
It's go big or go home baby! 😅
First Week Energy
Last week was my first, and I went all in:
Two Pilates, two swims, and four cardio classes - all squeezed into just 4 days 💪
I Started Pilates
I have wanted to try Pilates for the longest, but it never quite worked out pre-pandemic.
Finally found the right studio and started reformer Pilates last week…
Excited, slightly terrified - but I made it.
First class was at 7am sharp. ⏰
On a dull winter morning.
Yike! 😅
I rushed out with five minutes to spare, no makeup.
Hair in a bun… but I made it.
My ass aches and my thighs are still shaking...
Mind you, I'm only doing beginners' classes haha.
Swimming Lessons
I started swimming lessons last spring, and each session still leaves me completely spent 😅
So I always make it the last activity of the day - got to save my energy for gym or Pilates.
Treadmill Thoughts
Let's talk about the treadmill for a second...
It's absolutely boring! 😩
I only ever use it when I need to get my heart rate up - quick fast run.
Ten minutes felt like a whole hour…
I was dying! 😭
And I'm always scared I'll fall off 😂
Like… no thanks.
Just go outside!
Kudos to those who love it - I never have.
This Week
This week, I'm going full speed.
3 of each - Pilates, swimming and cardio.
Spread across 6 days.
And just like God, I'll rest on Sunday 😇
Now…
I just need to figure out where to sneak in a couple of 10K walks… 🤔
Might swap a gym day for a long walk - or do half and half.
